UNIBEN aggregate calculator
The UNIBEN aggregate combines your JAMB score and your Post-UTME score into a single mark out of 100: aggregate = (JAMB score ÷ 8) + (Post-UTME score ÷ 2). JAMB is scored out of 400, so it contributes up to 50 marks, and the Post-UTME is scored out of 100, so it contributes up to 50 marks.

Worked examples
- JAMB 280 and Post-UTME 70: 280 ÷ 8 = 35 and 70 ÷ 2 = 35, so the aggregate is 70.
- JAMB 240 and Post-UTME 60: 240 ÷ 8 = 30 and 60 ÷ 2 = 30, so the aggregate is 60.
- JAMB 320 and Post-UTME 80: 320 ÷ 8 = 40 and 80 ÷ 2 = 40, so the aggregate is 80.
What to do with the number
Under the University of Benin's standing rule, candidates with a 50% cumulative score and above are eligible to be considered for admission (restated in its 9 September 2025 results announcement); each department then sets its own, usually higher, cut-off, which changes from year to year. See the 2026/2027 Post-UTME guide for eligibility and dates. This site is not affiliated with the university, so always confirm the formula and cut-off marks in the university's own announcements.
